UPDATE 2/1

Family and Friends,

Michele continues in her recovery and looks good today. The fever that began last night continues today and we are working on bringing it down. The catheter has been removed which may be causing an infection triggering the fever. The neurosurgeon said that the head lesion is clean, and there was no infection there. He said it looks good.

Michele was up and sitting in a chair for a few hours today. As long as the fever goes down, we hope to move her into a regular room sometime soon. We are limiting her visitors today as we need her to rest, and she said she is very tired. She took a few [assisted] steps back to her bed before laying down to sleep.

After speaking with the doctor this morning, Michele and I (and hopefully Amy) will fly via Medivac back to the US so that she can be monitored on the plane. We don’t have a lot of details on exactly when and will send out word as soon as we know. At this moment we await for her temperature to drop.

Thanks for your continued prayers.
Keep praying,
John
