UPDATE 2/9

Family and Friends,

Michele was stable through the night and looks really good today! Her bandage is off so her stitches can breathe. A cat scan is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) and based on the results, they may start to decrease the sedation at that time. Unlike the first coma she recovered from (in 2 hours), this recovery may take days based on the deep level of sedation she is now under. Dr. Garcia told us that they are learning about how much a fighter Michele is, and are going to take it very slow this time. My new moto is “Day by Day”.

Michele’s sister Amy and her boyfriend Tim fly back to Colorado today and leave Michele (and I) in the capable hands of my sister Brenda. Dave Ariniello arrives tomorrow to help and support me. Michele’s soul mate Karen Long is scheduled to arrive next Sunday, the 14th. We’ve secured a room at another Royal Resorts time share unit which is closer to the hospital and will move there sometime after Karen arrives.

The first picture attached was taken by Amy today, and the second picture was sent to me by our dear friend Liz, and was taken on the first day Michele and I met on June 19, 1986.

Thank you all for your continued prayer!
Love to all,
John

Day by day
Day by day
Oh Dear Lord
Three things I pray
To see thee more clearly
Love thee more dearly
Follow thee more nearly
Day by day

Day by day by day by day...
