UPDATE 2/21

We visited Michele this morning and again her platelets are at a dangerously low level of 21k. She was being given platelets as we arrived and I was told it was from Dr Garcia himself. We have 3 donors at this time, Toto from the Royal Resorts, Dr.Garcia and Bruce Gordon from the US Embassy. Michele has a small fever therefore we did not stay long as we need her to rest, so her body can fight the infection and try to build her own platelets. We still need more donors. We have had a few more graciously go up to donate but could not because of being on certain medications. Royal Resorts has put out an email to all the employees to ask them for help in donating. We are going to rest today by the pool and try and get some down time so we are ready for Michele when she gets her infection under control. It is hard to stay away from the one you love but I know it is the right thing to do right now so I can have the strength when she needs me the most. The doctors and nurses are taking care of her and I trust them. I will send out another email later tonight when we go by to say good night.
