UPDATE 2/12 #1

We have good news. Michele’s scan came back with a small decrease in the swelling. Although it is small it is a decrease and a positive direction. The doctors are going to decrease her sedation at a very slow pace and see how she reacts. If she has negative reaction they will increase sedation. The next scan is planned for 48 more hours but we are now at Michele’s pace and we have to see how she reacts. Keep an eye out for emails as I will update as I get info each time. My visiting hours are 10am to 12pm; 4pm to 6pm and 9pm to 11pm. I will update each time if she shows signs of improvement. Although we are attempting to make this a slow process you all know Michele and she never does things slow. We are going to try and keep her at this slow pace for her own well being. Please keep her in your prayers as we are starting the long process to bring her out of her coma. She does have some fluid outside her incision which we are going to get a sample of and get a biopsy (2-3 days for results) they did say the fluid or tissue is not brain matter and may simply be removed based on the results. We are also going to start physical therapy moving her legs and arms as the sedation is reduced.

The picture is of her returning from her scan. You can see the team of doctors she has. 8-10 doctors and nurses working to protect her at all times.
