Although Michele has made much progress so far, we’ve come to a standstill at this point due to an infection which is in her lungs. The infection is treatable, however it is of great concern. She went back into the OR for a procedure to clean the initial wound and the neurosurgeon said everything looks good. Our concern now is clearing her lungs and it has been a slow process. They changed some of her medications tonight that will hopefully help her clear them out. She remains in ICU and we ask for all of your prayers to get over this hurdle that is in front of us.
Her children visited this evening to say goodbye as they are headed home to Colorado, in hopes to see their Mother soon. I’ll stay here in Cancun with Amy to take care of Michele. We have no known date of our departure.
Please continue your prayers and emails of support, as Michele’s struggle to recover is not over.
